Chapter Philanthropy

Sigma Kappa - Theta Eta provides many opportunities for members to become involved in community service and philanthropic projects. Throughout the 2016-17 year, not only have we been involved in improving our own community, but we have also participated in other Greek organizations philanthropies at UNLV as well.

Each year, Sigma Kappa holds a philanthropy event for the Ultra Violet Campaign. This Spring 2017, our Ultra Violet was planned by our Vice President of Philanthropic Service, Tristyn Clark, and themed our 2nd Annual "Summer Kamp."

Each fall semester, we participate in "The Walk to End Alzheimer's", a walk supporting the Alzheimer's Association that is held annually at Town Square Las Vegas. In Fall 2016, we raised over $10,000 that went directly to the Alzheimer's Association!  We will always participate in this walk, and hope to achieve even higher donation goals.

As a chapter, we enjoy visiting our local retirement communities in Las Vegas.  We hold events with the residents such as Senior Prom, Sweetheart dances, Bingo Nights and Adventure Club. We also participate in park cleanups as well as fundraising events to send items and gift cards to the Maine Sea Coast Mission.

Sigma Kappas hold philanthropy and service incredibly close to our hearts and hope to open our arms to more service opportunities in the future.
